2.20.14 Changes.....

I am so sorry this letter is going out so late but crazy things have been happening. And I don't have too much time to write about it but here goes nothing. I'll go by the highlights.

So last week was the last week of the transfer, and my companions and I set a goal that we were just going to work hard. And we did we found so many amazing people and just had such a wonderful week. The weather has been crazy! To the point that they are dumping the snow in the river because there is no room for cars to drive anymore.. it's so crazy. But It's all fun and good stories for my posterity I guess.

High light of last week was Sunday, we had an amazing week but On Sunday morning we met with Azam. Our Muslim investigator and we got permission to teach him then he came to church! It was so amazing. I just sat and enjoyed every moment at church not knowing it was going to be my last Sunday in Paterson.

Monday morning I wake up and look at the phone.. the transfer text.. my name is on it.. I'm leaving Paterson. It was a sad morning indeed but I was looking forward to a new adventure.

Then as we were studying Monday morning I received a call from president Jeppson. I've been extended the calling as a Sister Training Leader. I'm still kinda in shock but I willingly accepted the call. I defiantly don't feel qualified for this calling but the lord qualifies whom he calls. So my last night in Paterson we went to say goodbye to the smith family.. oh man I'm going to miss them so so much. Then we went and Kevin made us dinner with Betty. We all laughed and talked about the joys of sharing the gospel.

Transfers day

Tuesday.. our zones and areas in our mission have all been rearranged so it was pure craziness. (also mom sister Ward from Kaysville went home because of illness... look out for her). But I've been assigned to serve in Caldwell English... which means I'm my old companions sister training leader hahah it's the best. I drive through Paterson every once in a while and it breaks my heart but I'm glad I'm not to far away.

My companion's name is sister Houser. She is a powerhouse missionary! She is incredible I'm so excited to work with her. We’ve already have been having a wonderful time together.

Culture shock

I will admit I'm in a serious reverse culture shock.. no black people. HUGE houses.. very nice area.... if anything Paterson helped me truly be grateful for the blessings I have in my life. But yes we have some awesome people we are working with. We are over 8 sister companionships (we have the most sisters to work with) but it's the best because they are all from my old zone so I know and love them already:)
Sister Houser
Awkward moment when you and your companion dress alike...that is companion unity right there!

If anything Change refines us:) I'm excited for the change. I'm super heart broken about Paterson but I look forward to my calling and working with the sisters. I will be a sister training leader for about 4 transfers. It’s fun, but a lot of work:)

Saying good-bye

I have a testimony that Heavenly Father truly loves us, as we repent and come closer to him he blesses us in so many ways. We are all his children and he loves us all. Family I love you all thank you for your support and prayers. They help a lot. Sounds like you all had great weeks:) sorry I'll elaborate more on things next week!

Love you!

Love sister Clark
